CROSSFIT

Functional strength and conditioning program utilizing constantly varied movements performed at high intensity to develop many diffent aspects of fitness. All of our group CrossFit classes are lead by a coach and typically include a warm-up, strength development, metoblic conditioning, and injury prevention strategies all performed in an hour long class.

ONE-ON-ONE

PERSONAL TRAINING

Personally customized training programs to fit any individuals goals. This can be conducted in a 1 on 1 or small group setting. Our proffessional coaching staff will use the best science backed approaches to meet any goal.

Nutrition Coaching

At CrossFit West Lafayette we focus on a simple, habit-based approach. You will recieve 1:1 custom nutrition coaching from a nutrition coach/certifed Nurse Practitioner. You will recieve access to a custom nutrition app and monthly In-Body scans tracking your body composition. Nutrition coaching is all about accountability, your nutriton coach will be there to esure your best results.

Spend focused time every day improving your strength and foundational gymnastic skills to help improve your overall health and fitness. You will move better, learn new drills, and improve your skills in all gymnastic movements.

Yoga

A big part of gaining strength is also gaining flexibility. Our yogility classes are a fusion of yoga and mobility offered to de-stress and meditate while finding direction both on and off the mat. We like to think of yoga as the yin to our CrossFit yang. If you feel like you need more balance in your life, then yogility is the perfect class for you.

YOUTH

KIDS CROSSFIT

Now is the time to instill healthy habits in today’s youth! We teach kids how to enjoy exercise and sport through proper and safe movement. All while having the time of their life! It’s almost like daycare on steroids!

I contacted Crossfit West Lafayette. They got back very quickly with me. I arranged a drop in for Thursday Night (December 27). When I arrived, I was met by Coach Justin. He was great! Joined one of their 6 week on-ramp summer classes and fell in love with crossfit! Everyone is friendly, it is no joke that our class and the people who I worked out with became like a second family. We laughed, we sang, we may have done stupid things on video, but most importantly we made MAJOR improvements. 🙂 100% would recommend this box and crossfit. It is hard to get into, but the hard work pays off in no time at all!

I joined a six week challenge in July just to “try it out” and see what all the hype was about. Seven weeks later, I can officially say that I’ve caught the bug. All of the coaches are fantastic and there really is a sense of community. Looking forward to progressing as I continue my fitness journey with them!

Sarah is a shining light at CFWL. She’s been CrossFitting since 2014 and loves helping people become the best version of themselves.

Sarah is a shining light at CFWL. She’s been CrossFitting since 2014 and has quite a story. Here’s an excerpt:

“…I believe that it all starts with making your health a priority… And nothing gives me more joy than helping other people find and accept that truth.

It’s why I love to coach, especially women and moms that have lost their identity throughout the years. I get more joy out of coaching a PR [personal record] or having some cue that I gave stick than my own PR’s. I am constantly evolving, and it’s what I love most about CrossFit. You have to constantly adjust your definition of ‘best version of yourself.’ You have never arrived. The joy is most definitely in the journey.”

ALLEN MYLES

COACH

Allen was born and raised in West Lafayette and attended West Lafayette High School.  He played multiple sports in high school and continued his athletic career at Vincennes University as a pitcher in baseball.  After transferring to and graduating from IUPUI with his Criminal Justice Degree, he started working in 2004 as a Police Officer at Purdue University.  He currently is working as a Lieutenant of Training Operations, which entails overseeing all police instructors and recruitment and creating general training programs for officers and civilians.

He has always been one of the lucky few who’s favorite pastime is working out, especially weight lifting.  Because he missed the competitive aspect of athletics, he trained for powerlifting and then competed in amateur Strongman competitions prior to finding CrossFit.  He previously held a Strength and Conditioning Certification through the International Sports Sciences Association and was certified as a personal trainer, training one-on-one’s in the past.  He’s also a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer.

Allen enjoys strength-related movements such as the olympic and powerlifts.  He loves to help people with technique regarding these types of lifts and to push people to do what they believe they cannot do.  You may catch him complaining about metcons but he’s realized in the past few months by focusing on this, it’s actually quite beneficial!  He loves high energy classes and you may find him being his boisterous (and sometimes obnoxious) self!  He’s most excited to connect with members and to help each person achieve his/her fitness goals!
